Features
in Automatic Prompter Studio
Scrolling
news prompter - type in or import your bulletin script and within
one mouse-click your script is displayed on a scrolling panel in
the style of the traditional TV teleprompters. You can adjust the
colour, font, size and speed of the script and export your scripts
to other programs as TXT files.
Five cut
players for news audio - load up five audio files (MP3 or WAV)
and they're displayed in a stack on screen ready to play. (Don't
worry if you need more than five - while a cut is playing, you can
assign a new one to the same player). Each player has a Solo function,
so you can use the players for playing out a sequence of beds. In
times of need, the Automatic Prompter can even come in handy as
a 'cartwall' for instant audio playout.
Script preset
items
- it's a pain typing in repetitive actions like cues for the newsreader
or date and time prompts. So now you don't have to: just click the
Presets button and you are presented with a list of items ready
to insert into your script.
Copy-timing
function
- you can now automatically find out how long your scripts will
take to read. Using a basic generally-accepted formula of three
words per minute, Automatic Prompter Studio will do an instant calculation
and tell you exactly how many words are in your script and a rough
estimate of the duration.
Text-based
clock
- in the middle of a radio news program, you've got so much to think
about... why take risks with announcing the time from an analog
clock? To work out how to say the time aloud, you would normally
have to do a few quickfire mental sums but now the time is displayed
at the top of the window all the time, so you can just read it off...
for example "It's coming up to twenty minutes to two on Wednesday
afternoon".
